SPOKANE, Wash. – The life of a writer whose physician discouraged her from having a career is the subject of “The Literature of Prescription,” a traveling exhibit from the National Library of Medicine on display through noon Nov. 22 at the academic library at Washington State University Spokane.

Oct. 13: Reception for faculty, student art

So when she was 11, O’English checked out “Green Darkness,” a 1972 novel by Anya Seton, from the Tucson public library.

PULLMAN, Wash. – Student designs for sheltering the homeless in Washington will be on display Aug. 29-Sept. 22 in the Carpenter Hall gallery at Washington State University. An opening reception with refreshments will be at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 29.
