Interim President Bernardo receives WSU alumni award

PULLMAN, Wash. – Daniel J. Bernardo, interim president of Washington State University, was honored Wednesday with the WSU Alumni Association’s highest award – the Alumni Achievement Award – in recognition of his leadership as interim president, provost and dean.

Elson Floyd honored with Spokane Hall of Fame award

Floyd received posthumously today the newly created Spokane Citizen Impact Award to recognize his contributions to the city of Spokane. He is the first recipient, and the award will be named after him to become the Elson Floyd Impact Award.

Regents approve contract with President Kirk Schulz

PULLMAN, Wash – The Washington State University Board of Regents on Friday confirmed the appointment of Kirk Schulz as the 11th president of the university and approved a five-year employment contract under which he will receive a base salary of $625,000 annually, with provisions for an additional retention incentive of $25,000 per year.
