April 21: Kevin Douglas to speak at psychology symposium

Kevin S. Douglas, professor and associate chair of the department of psychology at Simon Fraser University, will be the guest speaker for the WSU Psychology Department’s Undergraduate Research Symposium, 3-4 p.m. Friday, April 21, in CUE 202.

The title of his presentation is “What do we Know about the Link between Mental Disorder and Violence?”

Douglas, LL.B., Ph.D., is also a guest professor of applied criminology at Mid-Sweden University, and a senior research advisor at the University of Oslo. He has been at SFU since 2004, after having spent three years on faculty at the University of South Florida, in Tampa.

He received his law degree in 2000 from the University of British Columbia, and his Ph.D. in clinical (forensic) psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2002.

After the presentation, there will be a reception, undergraduate research poster session and refreshments in the CUE Atrium.
