Viral video lands student a ‘Tonight Show’ internship

PULLMAN, Wash. – Murrow College student Jake Sirianni recently created a rap about The Tonight Show for a shot at an internship.

According to an article from WSU’s student newspaper, The Daily Evergreen, “Sirianni said the video required three-and-a-half weeks of pre-editing before his friend recorded him during a three-hour shoot of his rap. He then spent all of spring break editing and finalizing the video.”

Sirianni’s video was based on an Oct 28, 2014 segment from The Tonight Show featuring actor Daniel Radcliffe rapping to Blackalicious’ “Alphabet Aerobics.”

This week, Sirianni’s video went viral and caught the attention of The Tonight Show. Host Jimmy Fallon announced on his March 22 show that because of Sirianni’s work,  Jake would indeed have a summer internship.
