Dec. 13: Students show professional spirit fashion designs

PULLMAN, Wash. – Student designs for Cougar clothing for professional women will be shown at a free, public presentation 8-10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the CUB junior ballroom at Washington State University.

The designs complete a semester project whose goal was to create WSU-branded professional collegiate spirit apparel for women age 30 and up. It was supported by WSU First Lady Noel Schulz (see an earlier article at

The Department of Apparel Merchandising, Design & Textiles juniors conducted surveys and research, sourced fabrics, designed and created prototypes, fitted model of diverse sizes and managed a budget. Five groups of students will present their designs.
