Center for Civic Engagement honored by local chamber

melanie-brownPULLMAN, Wash. – The Washington State University Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) recently received the annual Civic Improvement Award from the Pullman Chamber of Commerce for outstanding contributions to community and citizen relations.

“It is a tribute to the efforts of all who have contributed to strengthening community-campus relations through civic engagement,” said Melanie Brown, CCE director.

It is one of five annual awards presented by the chamber.

For over 20 years, the CCE has provided opportunities for WSU students, faculty, campus departments and community partners to share knowledge, skills and resources for the benefit of student learning and community wellbeing. Learn more at
