Sept. 28: Clients share about success with business advising

aziz-makhaniCOLFAX, Wash. – Free, confidential business advising available through the Washington Small Business Development Center will be discussed at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Historic Perkins House in Colfax. Part of the Cup o’ Joe monthly business support group, the presentation will also feature two area entrepreneurs who have benefited from SBDC advising.

The Washington SBDC ( is a network of more than two dozen business advisors working in communities across the state to provide confidential, no-cost advising to entrepreneurs and business owners who want to start, grow or transition a business.
Hosted by Washington State University, the SBDC also receives funding from the U.S. Small Business Administration and other institutions of higher education and economic development.

Local SBDC advisor Aziz Makhani will speak. John Lane of the Clearwater Economic Development Association will talk about the funding it provides for startup businesses.

Daquarii Rock of The Seasoned House ( event center in Pullman, Wash., and Jim Kusznir of NW Fiber high-speed Internet will talk about the benefits they’ve received from SBDC business advising.
