Sept. 2, 10: Global learning, student engagement opportunities

globe_pacificrimistock_350pxPULLMAN, Wash. – More than 15 education abroad representatives will host information tables about their programs at the free Global Learning Fair 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, on the Terrell mall. The Vancouver campus will host a similar fair 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10.

Meanwhile, nearby the Pullman global fair, student and community groups will offer information about how students can volunteer locally. The free CougSync Connect 2015: Campus & Community Involvement will be 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, on Library Road outside Bryan Hall. Food, entertainment and an on-campus service project will be part of the event.

In addition to international study, intern and volunteer opportunities from Washington State University and external partners, the Global Learning Fairs will offer students options for globalizing their education such as the Global Leadership Certificate, Global Case Competition and more.

Information about financing education abroad through scholarships, partnership discounts and financial aid will be offered, and students can enter to win 50 percent off the WSU education abroad application fee.
