Aug. 28: Beasley screens free showing of Seattle game

quarterbackPULLMAN, Wash. – The opening football game of the Washington State University season will be shown for free at 7 p.m. Thursday on the big screens at Beasley Coliseum.

Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. No concessions will be available.

A public statement by the satellite service provider Dish TV, available online at, indicates Dish no longer expects to carry the Fox Sports 1 broadcast of the WSU vs. Rutgers game as originally planned because of an unresolved financial dispute between the satellite provider and Fox Sports 1.

Note: At 1 p.m. Wed., Aug. 27, the Seattle Times reported an agreement has now been reached between Fox Sports and Dish Network, removing a planned blackout of four college football games this weekend, including the Washington State-Rutgers game Thursday night at CenturyLink Field, a Pac-12 spokesman said Wednesday morning.
