Through University Recreation, the American Red Cross Parent and Child Aquatics offers various programs that help children gain the confidence and readiness to conquer the water. We offer parent/child lessons for children between the ages of 6 months and three years old, and classes begin September 9. For children between the ages of four and five, we offer preschool swimming lessons that help them acquire basic aquatic skillsets and they are divided into three different levels. Classes for these lessons also on begin September 9, 2013. Registration for evening youth swim lessons are also open and class begins September 10. This class is for children six years and older, and is broken down into two levels for children with different experience in the water. Prices for all of these programs are $25 for SRC members and $35 for non-members. For more information please visit http://urec.wsu.edu/aquatics/swim-lessons/ or call 509-335-8732.
