The Comparative Orthopedic Research Laboratory at Washington State University is conducting a study designed to evaluate the effectiveness, safety, and oral acceptability of a flavored tablet product for dogs diagnosed with osteoarthritis of the shoulder, hip, knee, or elbow joint. The investigational veterinary product is a member of a class of products known as non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) that are used to control pain and inflammation. This product is approved for dogs in Europe, but not in the U.S. Enrollees in the study will need to bring their dog to the Pullman VTH clinic four separate times over an approximate 5-week period.
