Singing for Justice: Songs of the American Civil Rights Movement
8 p.m. • Bryan Hall Theatre
This concert is open to the public and without charge.

Singing was a useful tool in the American civil rights movement, spreading a message that was difficult for many to hear and serving as an empowering drive for nonviolent protest. Through the presentation of song and narration, the WSU University Singers will guide the audience through the story of the American civil rights movement from Rosa Parks’ historic bus ride through the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.
