In light of his lifetime commitment to encouraging young people to learn about and engage in the political process, and endowment has been created to establish a professorship at WSU in his name:
The Sam Reed Distinguished Professorship in Civic Education and Public Civility.
In lieu of retirement gifts, Sam’s family, friends and staff encourage donations to this endowment as a thoughtful way to commemorate his career and extend his legacy. The professorship will support research and teaching activities advancing civility, moderation and bipartisanship in the political arena.
The professorship will be housed in the Foley Institute at Washington State University.
