Do you mentor students involved in a research, scholarship, and creative activity (collectively labeled “research”) that makes an original intellectual or creative contribution to their discipline?
Applications are open through Feb. 15 for students in all years and majors to participate in the second annual Showcase for Undergraduate Research (SURCA) on Friday, March 29, 2013.
Prizes will go to participants judged best in 9 categories at the conclusion of an afternoon filled with oral and poster presentations.
SURCA is the only WSU-wide undergraduate research event. Volunteers serving as judges use a rubric built to address projects in several categories.

SURCA is hosted by the Office of Undergraduate Research, a program in the University College at WSU.
It is one of four events that make up WSU Showcase along with Academic Showcase, the Distinguished Faculty Address, and the Celebrating Excellence Banquet (http://showcase.wsu.edu/#.UOyIenKBzJs).
