Museum Of Art Lecture with Jim Kolva

The Museum of Art/WSU presents Ceramics From the Kolva-Sullivan Collection, Jan. 7 – March 30. Please join us for the opening reception Thursday, Jan. 17, 6-8 p.m. in the Museum of Art/WSU Gallery, during which Jim Kolva will present a walk-through lecture on the collection from 7-7:40 p.m.

The Jim Kolva and Pat Sullivan collection is a comprehensive sampling of NW ceramic artists – a proverbial “who’s who” collection of northwest ceramic art, including new work by emerging artists.

Many of these artists are alumni of the Archie Bray Foundation. The Archie Bray Foundation for the Ceramic Arts is an educational institution located near Helena, MT. Some of the best ceramic artists working in the US today have graduated from the creative experience offered at Archie Bray. This exhibit will provide yet another dimension of the artistic treasures the Northwest has to offer.

The Museum of Art is located on Wilson Road across from Martin Stadium in the Fine Arts Center on the WSU Pullman campus. Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., open until 7 p.m. on Thursdays and closed on Sundays. For more information please contact the museum at (509) 335-1910 or visit our website at
