One of our priorities at the Office of Grant and Research Development (OGRD) is to keep the WSU Community well-informed.
One of the many ways OGRD assists and encourages the university’s research endeavor is by making information available via Rich Site Summary (RSS) feeds, which allow you to subscribe to timely updates, for example, on new funding opportunities. The RSS feeds available on OGRD’s The Informer include information on new opportunities disseminated by grants.gov, NSF, and NIH, with the option of browsing by categories. Also available are feeds about recent awards received by WSU.
The Recently Funded Awards feed can be customized to your specific area by going to http://informer.ogrd.wsu.edu/RecentFacultyAwards.aspx and clicking on the ‘Create Customized RSS Feed’ link where you can select your areas of interest.
A convenient way to get RSS feeds is in your Outlook. Below are 5 easy steps to set up your feeds:
1. Start Outlook.
2. Within the ‘Mail Folders’ view (left side), select the ‘RSS Feeds’ item (below your Inbox).
3. Right-click on the ‘RSS Feeds’ item and select ‘Add a New RSS Feed…’
4. Enter the URL of the desired RSS Feed in the dialog box.
5. Click ‘Add.’
