ORLANDO, Fla. – Washington State University men’s basketball is one of eight teams confirmed for the complete field of the 2013 Old Spice Classic, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 1, at the HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla.
Joining Washington State for the eighth annual event are; Butler, LSU, Memphis, Oklahoma State, Purdue, Saint Joseph’s, and Siena.
The 2012 Old Spice Classic will feature a bracket format with 12 games over three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through the bracket. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship game on the final day of competition.
This will mark the first time WSU will participate in the Old Spice Classic, as previous tournaments have included the Great Alaska Shootout (2009) in Anchorage, Alaska, the Diamond Head Classic (2010) in Honolulu, Hawaii, the 76 Classic (2011) in Anaheim, Calif., and most recently the CBE Hall of Fame Classic in Kansas City, Mo., this season. The Old Spice Classic will also be WSU’s first tournament played in the state of Florida.
