Students, faculty, staff and WSU supporters of all campuses are encouraged to participate in the Pac-12 Fitness Challenge.
The challenge is a conference-wide initiative that inspires individuals to engage in regular physical activity and help build healthy communities. It will run Oct. 22-28.
“At its essence, the main goal of the challenge is to motivate people to get out and exercise,” said Kyle Cance, marketing director coordinator for UREC.
Anyone who wants to take the challenge for WSU can get involved by just following this week’s slogan, “like, log, win.” To participate, visit Pac12 Fitness Challenge on Facebook, then log the hours exercised and help the Cougs earn the title of most active campus, as all twelve schools compete to accumulate the most activity minutes.
“The challenge is designed to be flexible,” Cance said. “Maybe it’s a bike ride to work, walk across campus or a pick-up basketball game. They all count”
The University Recreation will be coordinating games, fitness classes and activities around campus, as well as offer faculty and staff free access to the Student Recreation center.
