WSU to conduct three-part emergency notification test today

PULLMAN, Wash. – Washington State University will perform a three-part test of its crisis communication system today to confirm the ability to notify the Pullman campus community in case of an emergency or threat to safety.

Shortly before noon, those who have registered to receive emergency notifications should receive a combination of text, email and phone notifications containing a test message. The campus outdoor warning system siren will be activated and loudspeakers will deliver a similar test message.

Those who believe they are registered to receive emergency notifications, but do not receive them today, are asked to check their registration information online through the zzusis system (http://zzusis.wsu.edu). Those who believe their registration information is complete, but do not receive today’s test notifications, are asked to notify Michael J. Gaffney, WSU Emergency Management coordinator, at 911@wsu.edu.

Anyone not yet registered to receive emergency notifications is encouraged to register through zzusis.
