Materials Science Engineering Program Graduate Seminar

Please join us for a graduate seminar titled “Understanding Chiral-Selective Growth of Carbon Nanotubes: In-Situ Raman Studies of Individual Single Walled Carbon Nanotube Growth” that will be presented by Dr. Benji Maruyamam,The seminar will be presented on Friday,Oct. 5, at 12:10 p.m. in ETRL 101.

Benji Maruyama:Nanostructured and Biological Materials Branch, Materials a Manufacturing Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory,WPAFB,OHNational Academy of Sciences,Washington,DCUES Inc., Dayton, Ohio, Department of Mechanical Engineering and Department of Chemistry,Rice University, Houston. Dr. Benji Maruyama currently works in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory.

Dr. Benji Maruyama currently works in the Materials and Manufacturing Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory. His background and interests include carbon materials, carbon, polymer and metal matrix composites, imaging of complex 3D microstructures and combinatorial experimentation. He is currently involved in the study of growth termination mechanisms for carbon nanotubes, nanostructured materials for battery electrodes, in-situ experimentation and catalyst development.
