We will explore the various types of arthropods that make their homes on humans. Included will be lice, bed bugs, fleas, ticks, and mites. We will discuss the biology of these critters, how they affect us, and what we can do about them. You might be surprised!

Dr. Richard Zack is an entomologist with expertise in the interactions of insects and their environments. He the is curator/director of the M.T. James Entomological Collection. Rich a doctorate at WSU, an MS in biology from KSU, and a BS in entomology from OSU. Research in the biological diversity of insects in WA, especially in the shrub-steppe habitat of central WA, and insect diversity in Micronesia and Guatemala.
