The Outdoor Recreation Center will be hosting an outdoor course, starting May 4, that teaches participants how to lead others in the wilderness and learn how to kayak, backpack, and rock climb. This program will also include Leave No Trace Awareness Certification and group facilitation skills. Skills such as backpacking, sea kayaking, rescue techniques and proper paddling will all be administered. Students will learn the basics of rock climbing and engage in two days of learning and developing their facilitation skills in the wilderness. The cost is $225 for Student Recreation Center members, $425 for non-members and registration closes May 4.
