You have probably seen them on campus! These loveable pups grow into highly-trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, a service that is free of charge.
Linda will talk about how she coordinates the challenge and joy of raising puppies while balancing her teaching and extension work; what CCI puppies do in the community; and how they are raised, trained, and matched with their new owners. She will share with you information on how you can get involved and fun stories from raising over 10 puppies.
Linda Hardesty is associate professor and extension specialist in the School of the Environment specializing in rangeland ecology. Linda has worked across the globe and taught thousands of students, but each puppy is a new adventure.
