PULLMAN, Wash. A public opening reception for the new art exhibit in the Washington State University Office of the Dean of Students will be 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 in French Ad 134. Light refreshments will be served.
Five pieces of art created by sophomore John Rawley and graduate student Yasin Osroosh will be on display in the office lobby.
“Each artist brings a different energy and conversation to our office,” said Mel Morgan, assistant dean of students. “They are incredibly talented and really quite different from our previous three.”
Last summer the office converted a wall in its lobby into a 12 by 4-foot gallery where student art can be displayed on a rotating basis.
Enrolled students are eligible to submit artwork. More information can be found here.
“The art gallery makes this space more inviting and student friendly,” said Morgan. “It creates opportunities for interaction between staff who work here and students who stop by to view the art.”
