Employee Orientation Courses Revised and Online

Orientation sessions hosted by Human Resource Services have been redesigned to better assist new employees beginning their WSU Careers. Two unique sessions are recommended for each employee:

New Employee Orientation (NEO) – Occurring 8:30-12noon on scheduled dates, NEO provides medical, dental, life and disability insurance information, as well as information on payroll, employment basics and leave processes.

New Employee Retirement Orientation (NERO) – Due to recent changes in retirement plan offerings, two separate sessions of this topic are available. Faculty and Administrative Professional retirement information is covered from 1:30-2:30 and Civil Service and hourly retirement information is covered from 3:00-4:00.

These offerings are available to all employees statewide via AMS Videoconferencing. Also, the NEO topics have been converted to online courses available 24/7 to all employees through the WSU Online Training System (http://hrs.wsu.edu/skillsoft).

Note: The online sessions do not include retirement information. New employees accessing NEO or EBO online should still participate in the new employee retirement orientations.
