Darwin event brings top skeptics/humanists to WSU, UI

PULLMAN, Wash. – Four well known atheists/agnostics/skeptics/humanists will present free lectures at Washington State University and the University of Idaho as part of “Darwin on the Palouse” Feb. 9 and 10, sponsored in part by the WSU student group Secular Cougs.
 
Daniel Dennett and PZ Myers will speak at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, at the WSU CUB ballroom. Fred Edwords and Jen McCreight will speak at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, in the UI Clearwater Room.
 
The event is intended “to celebrate Charles Darwin’s contribution to humanity, science and rational thought,” according to the website http://darwinonthepalouse.org.
