Dr. Susan Wang and Dr. Phil Mixter of the WSU School of Molecular Biosciences are presenting a “Family Science Saturday” event, “Heroes of Microbial CATalysis!” at the Palouse Discovery Science Center in Pullman, WA this Saturday, Jan. 21.
Presentations will begin at 10:30 a.m. and 12 noon and will last approximately 1 hour. Hands-on activities will introduce “good” microbes and the interesting enzyme chemistry they use both to live and to benefit people. Activities are directed to K-5 children, but all are welcome. Participants will receive take-home gifts and may enjoy the PDSC the rest of the day.
It’s not too late to RSVP! Admission for children and parent(s) for non-Science Center members will be funded by Dr. Wang through National Science Foundation grant funding. There is no additional fee for families who already have a PDSC membership, but PLEASE RSVP to assist us in planning.
