TOPPENISH, Wash. Honor student Gaby Rodriguez, who drew headlines nationwide last spring after she feigned a pregnancy as an experiment for her senior project, plans to continue her education at Washington State University.
A book and TV film about her will be released in January.
Rodriguez, 17, is a freshman at Columbia Basin College in Pasco, Wash., and plans to transfer to WSU after she graduates in 2013.
She has a book contract with Simon & Schuster and a TV movie deal with Lifetime. The publisher will release “The Pregnancy Project,” which Rodriguez wrote with Jenna Glatzer, on Jan. 17, and the TV film will air on Jan. 28.
The author will make appearances promoting the book in New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. the week of Jan. 16. She’ll appear on the “Dr. Phil” TV program later this month, and Seventeen magazine is preparing a “My Life” feature about her project.
