Yesterday marked the first annual national Food Day and WSU had an assortment of events and activities for students and the WSU community to engage in. An estimated 83 students, 7 community leaders, 6 faculty, and several departments on campus were all a part of raising food consciousness at WSU.

Brad Jaeckel, Mark Ryan, Laurie Mooney, Amit Dhingra, Guy Knudsen, Alicia Reddy, Ashley Colby, Patrick Fitzger, Jose Collazo, Bev Bafus, the Center for Civic Engagement, the WSU Organic Farm, the International Center, and most importantly to all the students who attended the Food Day events and activities!
As Chris Curtis, Director of Neighborhood Farmers Market Alliance stated, “Congratulations to WSU students for obviously being so engaged in the local food movement.” Way to go Cougs!
