PULLMAN, Wash. Does the world have the resources to feed 7 billion people? The rise of poverty and hunger, and possible solutions to these problems will be debated at noon Monday, Oct. 24, in the CUB Lair as part of the Under the Big Tent series at Washington State University.
Students, faculty and community leaders will discuss such aspects as biotechnology, agriculture, climate change and more. Everyone is invited to participate.
Under the Big Tent is a public debate initiative with three goals: to involve the campus and extended community in civil debate of critical issues; to consider issues on local, regional, national and global levels, and to reclaim the tradition and art of public discourse.
