October 22nd, 2011 is Make a Difference Day, which is a national day of service designated as a time to give back to our communities. The WSU Combined Fund Drive is proud to announce two service projects available for faculty and staff who would like to give back to our community in honor of Make a Difference Day. The morning project will be held at the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute (Charity Code 0456508) from 9 AM to noon. From 12:30 PM to 4:00 PM, faculty and staff are welcome to participate in a Habitat for Humanity (Charity Code 1478426) building project on the Palouse.
Participants will need to provide their own transportation and should dress in work clothes appropriate for the weather. All equipment for these service projects will be provided, but participants should bring their own gloves if desired. If you are interested in participating in either service event, please email cfd@wsu.edu to sign up.
The Combined Fund Drive is the philanthropic program for employees in the state of Washington who wish to support community organizations, local, national, or international. More information on the Combined Fund Drive is available online at cfd.wsu.edu. Thank you for your support of our communities.
