Photo gallery: Spring slowly appears in Pullman

Photos of May 16-31 on the WSU Campus by Robert Frank, WSU News
Yesterday the twig was brown and bare;
To-day the glint of green is there;
Tomorrow will be leaflets spare;
I know no thing so wondrous fair,
No miracle so strangely rare.
I wonder what will next be there!

PULLMAN, Wash. – Sunshine has made short fleeting appearances on the WSU Pullman campus lately, bringing with it welcome signs of spring and warm temperatures soon to follow – this weekend, in fact, according to forecasts.
Although the transition has been unusually slow this year — including the wettest April on record — those looking closely might have noticed the gorgeous display of colors.
Above is a series of photos taken on the WSU Pullman campus over the past two weeks. Some provide a before-and-after look at trees and greenery. Enjoy the colorful display and intricate designs. Summer’s coming.
