IT building upgrades will interrupt power, computer use

PULLMAN, Wash. – Computer users across the Washington State University Pullman campus could be affected from Friday night until Monday morning by a maintenance power outage in the Information Technology (IT) building.
The building’s cooling capacity is being upgraded by Facilities Operations. ITB will be connected to the central WSU chilled water loop and a new power panel will be brought online. The upgrade in power and cooling will make ITB 1010 and 2176 more efficient.
Work officially will start at midnight Saturday and be completed Sunday evening. However, servers in locations across campus may be offline from earlier Friday night until 6 a.m. Monday morning.
For information about the server shutdown for your particular unit, please talk with your IT specialist. Or contact Ray Lindquist, 335-0404 or, or the IT Help Desk, 509-335-HELP (4357) or
