PULLMAN – A WSU researcher is searching for genes in plague bacteria that help it effectively use fleas to infect rats – and people.
The work of Viveka Vadyvaloo, assistant professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine, sits squarely at the human-animal interface and therefore “fits our mission perfectly,” says Guy Palmer, director of the WSU School for Global Animal Health.
