CUB marketing team accepts four regional awards

PULLMAN – The Compton Union marketing team received four awards for its branding and marketing campaigns at the Association of College Unions International Region 14 Conference.

Two CUB marketing members Ashley Fagerlie, assistant director, and Katie Macarthur, graduate assistant, attended the conference at the University of Montana.

“Steal This Idea” is a contest that showcases the best in marketing and graphic design, allowing student unions to display their projects to other union buildings in the region and collect ideas for their own marketing.

The CUB team received awards in best logo/brand identity, best promotional campaign and best brochure design. Entries are based on four criteria: concept, design, editorial content and effectiveness.

The CUB brand and identity system won in the category of best logo/brand identity. Best promotional campaign highlighted CUB marketing’s “My Dream” campaign in conjunction with the Center for Civic Engagement. The team also accepted awards in the area of best brochure design: the self-guided tour brochure won in the student division and the Compton Union Event Guide in the staff division.

The 2011 ACUI Region 14 Convention will be held at the CUB next fall.
