
PULLMAN – More than 460 tickets to the Armed Forces Day home football game this Saturday were donated to the Veteran Tickets Foundation, and will be available virtually for free to Cougar football supporters.
Under this program:
Youth 14 and under wearing their youth sports jersey will receive a free end zone ticket.
Cougar fans who donate one bag of nonperishable food items will receive two free end zone tickets.
WSU Athletics donated 100 tickets to jump start the effort so U.S. military veterans and active duty soldiers in the area can attend the Nov. 6 game.More than 70 individuals contributed to the cause.
Kickoff for the game against California will be 1 p.m. at Martin Stadium. It will be televised live on Fox Sports Northwest.
WSU football players will wear yellow ribbon/Cougar logo stickers on their helmets in support of U.S. soldiers and veterans. Coaches will wear similar ribbons on their caps.
To redeem offers, go to the WSU Athletic Ticket Office (on Stadium Way, next to the “Cougar Pride” statue) on Saturday. The office opens three hours before kickoff.
