92 percent would participate in program at work

VANCOUVER – Ninety-two percent of respondents to a recent WSU Vancouver survey said they would participate in wellbeing program activities at work.

Nearly one-third of staff and faculty – 88 employees – completed the wellbeing survey, with good representation from every department.
A majority said they already have made positive lifestyle changes and want to add additional healthy activities to their lives. Many said the biggest barriers to wellbeing program participation include family obligations, tricky schedules and work load.
The Wellbeing Committee that sponsored the survey will continue to look for ways to implement new activities and programming based on survey results. The committee will contact individuals who expressed interest in volunteering to help with wellbeing activities on campus.
