RICHLAND, Wash. — Local public television station KTNW will premier “Columbia Basin Badger Club: A Community Forum,” July 15 at 9 p.m., in partnership with the local Columbia Basin Badger Club.
The inaugural episode will be “Hanford: After the Clean-up” (taped in May). TRIDEC Vice President, Gary Petersen, and Matt McCormick, assistant manager for the Central Plateau, Department of Energy, discussed long-range planning for Hanford.
“We are excited about the partnership with the Columbia Basin Badger Club,” said Tom Hungate, KTNW program manager. “It is an opportunity for a local public affairs program to be broadcast on your local public TV station. Everyone wins.”
KTNW Public TV records the monthly forums, which feature speakers sharing their expertise and answering questions from the members. Hungate and his crew have been taping for a few months and several productions are now ready for air.
Space allowing, Badger meetings are open to the community. More information about the Columbia Basin Badger Club is available online at www.columbiabasinbadgers.org.
“Columbia Basin Badger Club: A Community Forum” is a production of KWSU Media. KWSU/KTNW-TV is a service of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University.
