The public is invited to join dozens of WSU rowing alumni as they cheer on the WSU Women’s Rowing program this weekend in races against Oregon State at Wawawai Landing on the Snake River.
This weekend is the celebration of 20 years of women’s varsity rowing at WSU, but alumnae will be returning who competed as club athletes from 1976 to 1989 as well as those who competed as varsity athletes starting in 1990.
The regatta against Oregon State is scheduled from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, and it will be followed by an alumnae recreational row from 3 to 4 p.m. More than 60 former WSU athletes have signed up to participate. A banquet is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Ensminger Pavilion.
