PULLMAN – “Water: Is Blue the New Green?” will be the topic of debate Under the Big Tent at noon on Earth Day, Thursday, April 22, on Glenn Terrell Mall.
Participants will discuss water issues – such as contamination, privatization, consumption and more – in the context of a sustainable environment.

“Did you know that nearly a billion people lack access to safe drinking water?” asked Amber Heckelman, Outreach and Student Groups coordinator for the CCE. “Are you aware that the average American lifestyle demands 1,800 gallons a day – more than twice the global average? Do you think that water issues are among the most pressing in our environmental discourse today?”
WSU employees, students and local community members are invited to share their insights or stop by and learn about this topic.
