A memoir recently published by WSU Press recalls life durring the WWII Nazi occupation of France; a book signing and French dinner will be held Friday, April 23, at Bank Left Gallery in Palouse.
Longtime Pullman artist, teacher and now author Nicole H. Taflinger will sign her book between 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. Some of her art works will be displayed and there will be live music.

“Season of Suffering: Coming of Age in Occupied France” is a poignant recollection of life in occupied France – a time of fear, deprivation and suffering, but also resilience, romance and hope. Taflinger grew up in Nancy, France, where her parents opened a restaurant.
