SEATTLE – Recently returned from a year-long deployment as commander of the multinational force in Iraq, Lt. Gen. Charles H. Jacoby Jr., will discuss our military’s approach to formidable challenges ahead at 7:30 p.m. April 28, at Town Hall in Seattle.
Jacoby is a commanding general of I Corps and Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
Jacoby will be interviewed by Lawrence Pintak, international journalist, Middle East correspondent and founding dean of The Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at WSU. The program, “A Conversation With Lt. Gen. Charles Jacoby: Progress and Challenges in Iraq,” is being presented by the Town Hall Center for Civic Life in association with WSU and will be featured in The Murrow Interview, an innovative series of conversations with influential figures and newsmakers from across the U.S. and beyond.
Currently awaiting U.S. Senate confirmation as director of the Strategic Plans and Policy section of the Joint Staff, Jacoby is expected to discuss such issues as Iraq’s government-formation process, the security situation in Iraq and prospects for the scheduled completion of the U.S. combat troop drawdown scheduled for next year.
