PULLMAN – Third and fourth grade students from Pullman, Colfax and Garfield-Palouse – 275 in all – converged on Klemgard Park in rural Whitman County on Tuesday to learn about animals, plants and the landscape.
The annual science day allows WSU education majors to practice teaching science and to work with elementary students in a hands-on way. The WSU students said science is part of youngsters’ everyday lives, and getting them to share in the excitement of scientific discovery is important to their future.
