RICHLAND, Wash. Learn how to afford to go to any college at a free workshop on April 22.
This seminar is designed for high school freshmen through juniors and their parents. Topics include how to get the most “free” money to pay for college, tips on completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), ways to maximize how much financial aid you can receive, and an update on new Legislation affecting student loans.
The workshop is at 7 p.m. April 22 in the Kamiakin High School library, 600 N. Arthur St., Kennewick. Admission is free but pre-registration is required to receive the 48-page college funding guide. Visit www.tricity.wsu.edu/planforcollege or contact jkostoff@tricity.wsu.edu or 372-7606.
“Even if your family is not eligible for need-based aid, we’ll cover strategies for paying for school, without putting a strain on your finances,” said Erik Pielstick, a certified college planning specialist.
The workshop is a public service offered by Washington State University Tri-Cities. The session is open to teens who are interested in attending community college or any public or private college or university.
