PULLMAN – Vote for the People’s Choice Award from among 25 top photos from the 2010-11 Outdoor Photography Contest sponsored annually by the WSU Outdoor Recreation Center.
More than 250 photographs were submitted in five categories. Winners chosen by judges in each category can by found at a link from http://photocontest.wsu.edu/photo_slideshow.aspx. A link to the People’s Choice contestants also can be found there, as well as a link to cast a vote for People’s Choice.
The winning photos and other entries will be on display at the Student Recreation Center beginning April 9.
Winning photos will be on display for the 2010-2011 academic school year at the SRC.
The five categories included: landscape, action adventure, wildlife and still-life, cultural, and paradise on the Palouse.
Photographs were judged on presentation and appropriateness of category, as well as technical skill with the camera and visual framing of the subject. Leave No Trace outdoor stewardship principles also were considered.
