PULLMAN, Wash. The iconic Bryan Clock Tower in the Washington State University Pullman campus is about to get a facelift. The project will replace the clock faces, as well as the mechanical system that runs the clocks.
Facilities Operations Project Officer Richard Kizer (KEYE’-zer) said when the project starts, the clock faces will be removed, the hands and other metal parts will be restored, and a new GPS system will be installed to maintain the correct time.
The renovation will also allow future repairs on the clock to be done from inside the tower, rather than rappelling from the tower roof, which is the current method.
