An awards ceremony and reception will be 4:15-5:30 p.m. Graduate and undergraduate student history research oral presentations will wrap up the day 6-8:45 p.m. in room 240 of the library.
Almost 100 posters and exhibits of research projects, digital artwork and scholarly publications will be on display at the free public event.
WSU Vancouver is a nationally recognized research university with a dynamic and growing faculty conducting research and pursuing scholarship of regional, national and international impact.
“Faculty, graduate and undergraduate students will share their collaborative research, which emanates from the programs and laboratories of the campus and through interactions in southwest Washington on community-relevant topics,” said Bob Bates, director of research and graduate education. “Exciting new findings and advances in fields including environmental sciences, neurosciences, engineering, anthropology and education, among many others, will be presented.”
Terry Oliver, chief technology innovation officer for Bonneville Power Administration, will give the keynote address, “Innovation vs. Insulation – Energy Innovation in the Pacific Northwest” at noon in the Administration Building 129/130.
Oliver led the creation of BPA’s first public and formal research agenda, has tripled BPA’s investment in research and development, and transformed BPA’s executive and staff engagement in defining and managing a research portfolio.
