Transportation group presents research in D.C.


Casavant

PULLMAN – Six professors and graduate students – members of WSU’s Transportation Research Group (TRG) – are headed to Washington, D.C., to present papers based on their nationally recognized transportation research efforts.

 
The TRG, part of the School of Economic Sciences and led by Ken Casavant, will be present their research Thursday and Friday at the national Transportation Research Forum. Topics include:
 
  • National railroad pricing and competition and its impact on agriculture
  • Transportation needs of the Washington emerging bio-fuels industry
  • The economic viability of the log trucking industry in the state of Washington
 
Graduate students and faculty in the TRG have co-authored many of these research papers and will be the presenters. Coauthors of the papers, with different presenters for each of the papers, include:
