Children’s Center shows creativity with art display

Artwork created by children from the WSU Children’s Center is on display in the Lighty Student Services building this week.

Michael Chapman, a preschool teacher at the WSU Children’s Center, and Joyce Leonard, an infant teacher at the WSU Children’s Center, hung paintings, drawings and 3-D fish from the walls and ceilings of the second and third floors of Lighty on Tuesday. Additionally, a paper mache dragon perches atop a platform, a collective piece of art to commemorate Chinese New Year. The display will stay up until Friday.

The art, which is displayed annually in Lighty, represents work by children of all ages, and even includes work by infants.
