Collegiate Career Expo Expected to Draw 3,000 Students

PULLMAN, Wash. — The largest collegiate career expo in the Pacific Northwest will draw more than 3,000 students to Washington State University’s Beasley Performing Arts Coliseum, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Oct. 2.

Nearly 200 companies and organizations from 25 states will recruit students for jobs and internships in various fields — everything from health care and hospitality to marketing and high-tech firms. Graduate school recruiters also will scout for talent.

Related activities include:

● Career Services’ Open House, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 1, at WSU’s Lighty Student Services Building, Room 180. Get help with resumes, job searches and last-minute tips.

● Mock Interviews, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Oct. 1, Lighty 160. Practice interview skills and receive feedback from an Expo employer. Get registration information at the Career Services Web site,

● Dress to Impress Exhibition, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Oct. 1, WSU Compton Union Building Ballroom. Learn from employers how first impressions and attire influence hiring decisions.

The Expo is a cooperative effort between WSU and the University of Idaho. Students from any university can attend free.
